Natal Chart
Your natal chart is a snapshot of the sky at the exact moment and place you were born. It is the foundation of everything in Duocosm.
The chart wheel
The wheel is divided into 12 houses (sectors) and shows the position of 10 planets at your birth. Planets are shown as glyphs on the wheel. Your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs are highlighted below the wheel as your Big Three.
Key points on the wheel
| Point | What it means |
|---|---|
| Ascendant (↑) | The sign rising on the eastern horizon at your birth — your outward style and first impression |
| Midheaven (MC) | The highest point in the sky — career, public life, ambitions |
| Sun ☉ | Your core identity and life force |
| Moon ☽ | Your emotional world, instincts, and inner life |
Planetary positions
Below the wheel, each planet's sign, house, and degree is listed. Tap any row to read a personalised interpretation of that placement.
Retrograde planets are marked with ℞.
House unlocks
Your chart is divided into 12 houses. House 1 is always unlocked. Each additional house reveals a deeper interpretation of that area of life.
| House | Domain |
|---|---|
| 1st | Identity & Self |
| 2nd | Resources & Values |
| 3rd | Communication & Mind |
| 4th | Home & Roots |
| 5th | Creativity & Joy |
| 6th | Health & Service |
| 7th | Partnerships |
| 8th | Transformation |
| 9th | Philosophy & Expansion |
| 10th | Career & Legacy |
| 11th | Community & Vision |
| 12th | Solitude & Spirit |
There are two ways to open a house, and neither is better than the other.
Learn it. Each house rests on a handful of ideas — what a house is, what an angular house means, what it means for a planet to sit in one. Work through those lessons in Learn your chart (on the You tab) and the house opens. This costs nothing, and the lessons are worked from your own chart rather than from examples.
A lesson is finished when you have read the explanation. Getting a question wrong is not a setback — the explanation is what you were there for, and it opens either way.
Or skip ahead with Silver. If you would rather not, you can pay for a house directly. Cost scales with depth:
| Houses | Silver cost |
|---|---|
| H2 – H5 | 50 silver each |
| H6 – H9 | 75 silver each |
| H10 – H12 | 100 silver each |
The House of the Hidden (H12) is the one exception: it also waits until every other house is open.
Unlocked houses show ✦ next to their name. A locked house shows how many lessons are left, or its price.
If you did not give a birth time, your house boundaries were estimated from an assumed noon, so we will not sell you a house — and the lessons that would use your own chart as an example say so instead of inventing one. You can still read them, and they still open the house.
Tip: Start with the house containing your Sun or Moon — these tend to be most immediately recognisable.
Chart views
Use the Natal / Today's Sky / Solar Return tabs above the wheel to switch between views.
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Natal | Your birth chart — the sky at the moment you were born |

Solar Return chart
A Solar Return chart shows the sky at the exact moment the Sun returns to its natal degree — your "solar birthday" — each year. It previews themes for the year ahead.
Cost: 15 Gold per year calculated. Once purchased, the chart is stored and loads instantly on every subsequent visit at no additional cost. Previously purchased years are marked ✦ Purchased.
To view a Solar Return:
- Tap Solar Return above the wheel.
- Use − and + to select a year.
- Tap Calculate (or View if already purchased). The bi-wheel loads immediately.
Aspects
Aspects are the angular relationships between planets — they describe how different energies in your chart interact. Duocosm displays the five major aspects: conjunction, opposition, trine, square, and sextile.
Each aspect shows its orb in degrees — the closer to 0°, the more exact (and prominent) the aspect is in your life. Tap any aspect row for a personalised interpretation.
