Daily Reading
Your daily reading is a personalised astrological digest generated every night for the next day. It is grounded in your natal chart and the current planetary transits.
The 5 domains
Each reading covers up to 5 domains of life, determined by the transits most active for your chart that day:

Each card shows the domain label, a title, a paragraph interpretation, and the active transits that produced it.
Cards with a Locked badge indicate a house in your chart that hasn't been unlocked yet. The hook text gives a preview of the theme — tap the link to unlock the house or visit Connections to activate it.
How readings are generated
Duocosm uses a corpus-first RAG approach:
- Current transits for your chart are calculated (Swiss Ephemeris)
- Relevant astrological texts are retrieved from the Duocosm corpus
- Claude synthesises a personalised reading grounded in those texts — it never invents astrological meaning from scratch
This means readings are rooted in genuine astrological tradition, not generic horoscope copy.
How many cards you get
Everyone is on New Moon today, which is 2 domains per day — the two the sky is loudest about for your chart. The other tiers exist in the account system but cannot be bought, so nobody is on them unless an account was set that way by hand. See Plans.
Refreshing your reading
The ↺ button at the top right regenerates your reading. Use this if you want a fresh synthesis — it costs no Silver and does not reset your streak.
Readings update automatically each night at 00:00 UTC. If you see CACHED · UPDATES NIGHTLY 00:00 UTC at the bottom, you are viewing today's cached reading.
Streaks
Your streak counts the days you closed — the one tap on Today that says how the day landed — not the days you opened the app. Reading without closing leaves the streak where it was.
- Closing a day → +1 Silver
- Every seventh day in a row → +5 Silver
Both count against the weekly earn ceiling of 25 Silver. See Tokens & Rewards for the full table and what the ceiling is for.
Earlier versions of this page said +10 and +50 for opening the app. Both numbers were ten times the real ones and the trigger was wrong: opening an app is not something you did.
